Wrath of the Lich King -

The recent update before the release of this expansion introduced Achievements.

This opened some new adventure back into WOW and set a positive stage for this new expansion. Overall I found that it has made the leveling process much more entertaining. In general exploring, professions and world PvP have improved and are satisfactory. While levels are certainly goals in themselves, finishing the majority of quests in a region to get the questing achievements has been a good motivator. There are a wide variety of quests types collecting, locating, taming, flying/riding, kill-so-many, named mobs, group quests, lower level dailies, rep, sneaking and others.  Many of the quests are chained together and stick to one general area. Then send you to another and another with less running all over a zone in circles. Most quests now give more accurate directions and details to keep you on the chain with less frustration on finding the next NPC to talk to and advance.

The changes to the graphics engine have reduced the lag and the environments are breathtakingly beautiful. The mobs are great looking and have terrific animations. Multiple flight paths per zone have made travel in the large areas much easier! Daily quests pop up all over, from basic gathering quests, bombing runs, even the new cooking dailies. Earn Dalaran Cooking Awards and use them to buy new recipes! Making some extra money everyday is much easier without spending hours on them repetitive tasks.

The instances seem to need a bit more work compared to some of the newer MMO that have come out. Yet overall this is a good expansion and worth the purchase and play time.
